Uygur traditional transportation

Pedro Ceinos Arcones, 2007

In the Uygur lands, in the big oasis in the south and west of Xinjiang region, most of the transportation is still carried out in a traditional way. On Sundays, where markets and fairs are celebrated everywhere, thousands of carts become the lords of the roads. On them, the quiet life of Uygur communities deeply anchored in their tradition, goes on, slowly, with a traditional rhythm already lost in the cities.
